Andrew Chambers is a very hands-on guy and likes nothing better than getting out amongst it all, assessing the lay of the land and local property scene for himself. Given this it’s no surprise that Hastings-based senior valuer has been actively involved in the property industry in some way or another since 1992, in both Hawke’s Bay and up in the Bay of Plenty.
Since returning home to Hawke’s Bay in 2001 to work as a valuer, Andrew is even more familiar with the wider region – including Wairoa, Napier City, Hastings and CHB. He knows all of these areas like the back of his hand. He’s worked in virtually every street, settlement, urban and rural neighbourhood, clocking up tens of thousands of kilometres, wearing out plenty of shoes in the process. That’s why we’re proud to have Andrew as part of Property InDepth’s experienced valuation team.

Andrew has been involved in providing valuations for mortgage finance, sales purposes, probate, matrimonial settlement, insurance, and compensation. “In addition, I was involved in a number of development projects on both a valuation and consultancy basis, including housing developments, subdivisions and the taking of land for public works” he says.
He prides himself on being a self-motivated and well organised professional. He’s able to work to tight deadlines, while maintaining a focus on accuracy and achieving key targets and results.
“I have experience in the valuation of various classes of urban and rural properties including large-scale grazing properties, horticultural blocks and lifestyle units. Specialist properties that I have been involved with also include the valuation of camping ground facilities and rural properties utilised for alternative purposes, and the valuation of plant and chattels for going concern and asset purposes.”
On the home front, he’s a keen family man and father, and involved in a variety of coaching and community roles. “I have a huge passion for the outdoors and sports and am a keen diver, hunter and strive to keep as physically fit as possible. I also consider myself a contributing team member in whatever activity I become involved in.”
